Your agency sponsor
The federal entity employing you serves as your sponsoring agency. Please refer to your Sponsorship Completed email notification for your sponsor’s contact information. If you can’t reach your agency, contact USAccess for help.
Where is my PIV card?
After your enrollment and once your background check clears, USAccess issues your PIV card. You will either be notified by HSPD12Admin@usaccess.gsa.gov to pick it up at a specific location or your agency will direct you to a local site for on-site printing. Do not schedule a card pick up appointment until you receive an email.
If the assigned location is inaccessible to you, contact your agency sponsor immediately to discuss alternative options.
Appointment management
The operating agency sets credentialing site schedules. If you need help with a specific location’s availability or you’re trying to visit a site hosted by a different agency, reach out to your agency sponsor or contact USAccess for help. Please see get appointment help for assistance with rescheduling or canceling your appointment.
You can also visit the credentialing post office sites page to see if there is a shared site available to you for an enrollment or certificate update.
Troubleshooting the scheduling system
If you’re receiving an error when scheduling an appointment, clear your cache, restart your browser, and disable your VPN. Using incognito mode or a different device may also help. You can also contact USAccess by emailing gsamso@gsa.gov or submitting an inquiry.
After activation and certificate updates
Once your PIV card is activated or updated, you’ll have fresh certificates. To get everything working smoothly, you’ll need to reach out to your agency’s IT or security team so they can sync those new certificates with the system.
