Features and benefits
Cloud computing and cloud related IT professional services, also known as the Cloud SIN, is your primary place for common cloud services and labor.
Buying from the Cloud SIN helps your agency:
- Accelerate cloud migration as part of the Zero Trust journey.
- Address the cybersecurity vulnerabilities through supply chain risk management, a foundational feature of MAS IT offerings.
- Reduce acquisition burden by accessing Cloud SIN tool kits that include acquisition documents with sample language.
- Expedite speed to solution with NIST SP 800-45 pre-vetted contractors who are ready to reply to cloud-related task orders.
Scope
Use the Cloud SIN to buy all types of cloud-based services and labor and cloud-based artificial intelligence/machine learning, including:
- Infrastructure as a Service: You buy the computing resources and control the operating system, storage, platform, deployed applications, and some limited infrastructure configurations, but you do not manage the physical infrastructure. Examples include bare-metal as a service, data center as a service, disaster recovery as a service, and storage as a service.
- Platform as a Service: You deploy applications onto a cloud platform service using provider-supplied tools. You have control over deployed applications and some limited platform configurations but do not manage the platform or infrastructure. Examples include backend as a service, database as a service, and function as a service.
- Software as a Service: You use a provider’s applications on the provider’s cloud infrastructure, but do not manage/control the platform or infrastructure. You have limited application-level configuration control. Examples include application as a service, customer relationship management as a service, office productivity as a service, and video as a service.
